It was probably one of the best busride ive ever done. the scenic is so amazing and it was the first time that i really could appreciated the richness of Bolivia.
yeah back down on earth and i actually love it. although it was one of the best, it was still one of the most dangerous. but the more time ive spent here in bolivia the more i love it. this country has potential and i hope with Obama as president of EE. UU. things are started to loosen up a bit.
i had a pleasant discussion with another traveller from Yugoslavia, about Obama and about the time he (obama) spent in Indonesia. he was definetely interested about Indonesia and really curious about it. but he also spoke about the political climate here in Bolivia and in Public. one thing that I avoided to speak about actually. but anyhow. in the small Pueblo of Tupiza i think it was a bit manageable. and we both are actually for Evo anyway (So almost all the people in Tupiza as well).
But on the valley where they growth grapes, almost everyone is again Evo. because they do not wanted to share their richdom. so it`s a bit dangerous to discuss about it here in Tarija. but lets move on to another subject.
oh yeah yesterday it was my first time i used my ORS. its mix of salt and sugar used when you have heavy D. yeah i ve eaten from the street, eat something not cooked in front of me and definetly not checked the hygiene and almost everything was picante. So now i know the result yes¡¡¡¡ but i´m not bringing my ORS for nothing and i went to bolivia to save m0ney so anyhow.... but now im definetly more cautious and eat only at the restaurants the guide recommended (i also brought my guide book for something). except for api a typical bolivian drink (with cinnamon, sugar , much other things).
Tarija is really quiet ( no much troubles about the results of referendum) but i could sense the different between week day and fin de semana . It´s so busy right now and i kinda wish i was in Tupiza again where everythiung is much more tranquille. but one more big city , Santa Cruz, and i head for the more tranquille chuiquitos. Concepcion, San Jose, San Javier the places where the jesuits builded their churches for Reduccion among one of the other things.
the last chance to see the jesuits ruines, because i didnt went to argentina and paraguay missiones. one more thing about tarija is the beautiful plazas and the colonial feeling about it that made me really like the city. but other wise i like tupiza alot more.
Tupiza. the small town locked by the colourful cerros and it´s really green. it was also the final place for butch cassidy and sundance kid. but I only went for the cañon del inca. it was really amazing, and on horse back it felt like a western movie. small impression about the cañon and i`m off.
in real life it´s much more beautiful
suerte y abrazo
